With a 94-point rating from Parker (his best for any American Cabernet at the $35 to $40 range) and only 400 cases made of this Washington gem.  Michigan sold 25% of that production, which is quite large for our state.  We generally consume about 3% of production on the average.  Our distributor brought the 2008 vintage in only a couple monthes ago and we just bought the very last that was left.  I decided to run an extremely hot price on this to give more people an opportunity to afford this incredable Cab.  

     This Powers Reserve has 97% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Cabernet Franc, and 1% Petit Verdot from their Champoux Vineyard which is the best of the best growing areas at the Powers Vineyard.  It's intense and amazing- takes almost an entire dictionary of adjectives to describe it.  Spicy layers of cloves, all spice, and cinnamon wrap vanilla bean ice cream in a root beer float.  Followed decadently by dense forest floor that is dripping with molasses.  Suddenly a spark of orange zest with cherries laced with cocoa.  A very big Cab but, at the same time very silky and smooth.  There are many flavors racing through it so, sit back and enjoy the different tastes as they consume your palate with every sip.
